www.alamirkamalfarag.com has launched an awareness campaign about the Egyptian monuments entitled " The Heritage of Our Ancestors " .. to raise awareness of the value of Egyptian monuments, not for being only pride, but as a "personal legacy" left by our ancestors, and they should be preserved .

The supervisor of the site Amany Yassin has said that "the campaign aims primarily to promote the Egyptian citizen link the monuments, and the need to preserve them from tampering, negligence, robbery, or trafficking, being a cultural unique treasure, and secondly to alarm against the neglect suffered these monuments now, where they are exposed to neglect, poor display, storage, theft, and abuse, for several reasons. ".

She added, that "the goals of the campaign also urged the political leadership and the relevant bodies, especially the Ministry of monuments in Egypt to make a radical change concerning its policies, to enable the country to maintain these monuments, and the development of research and exploration, documentation, and most importantly marketing this unique optimal exploitation of the global treasure, after centuries of failure, these monuments are an important source of hard currency, like Suez Cannel, and the remittances from overseas workers ".

Yassin also explained, that "the campaign will publish the real actual data that express the reality of the Egyptian antiquities, using its sources in all Egyptian governorates, and presented to the political leadership and officials to show the negative actions taking place in this sector , to create a stream of anti-constant criticism for the development of Egyptian Antiquities, in the belief that the criticism is an essential step to solve problems ".

She noted, that "the campaign aims the Egyptians to join archaeologists in various positions, for discussion on a number of proposals for the protection of monuments, and the development of this sector, including the establishment of friendship societies interested in protecting these monuments, and also making a new Web site about the Egyptian monuments, and documentation of stolen antiquities abroad, and invent new methods of marketing, side by side with the voluntary efforts of the official authorities ".
