• Place: the village of Cater Maya, Lebanon.

• The accident: hundreds of Lebanese killed an Egyptian accused of a murder and mangled his body in the presence of the Lebanese officers, there wee many camera flashes and loud shouts of joy.

• The theory: a new theory was discovered that makes a huge contradiction to all theories of Sociology. And many times the scientists and sociologists tried to make it veil, it proves that man is originally a wolf.

• Records from the Archives: along ages ago, there were many massacres and racial battles, murders, destructions, but the accident of Cater Maya is the fiercest accident of murder in the 21st century.

• Flash Back: there were 144240 dead, 197506 injured, and 17415 lost people in the civil war in Lebanon 1992.

How many crimes are practiced in the name of God! The murderers in Cater Maya were shouting in joy: Allah Akbar “God is the greatest”, while the act of killing some one. Also terrorists shout “Allah Akbar” when cutting a man’s throat! Oh my God, how many crimes are practiced under the name of yours!

We remember the beautiful song of Abd El-Halim Hafez, an Egyptian singer, which he had sung celebrating the unity of the Arab states.

I remember some words that my grandfather had once told me: there are many ways lead to death; betrayal is one of them.

Man can not be deceived by the same way twice, but the Egyptians can be deceived by the same way hundred times.

Blood….. Blood…… Blood everywhere

• Some officers discover that there is blood on the flag, they told their leader. He ordered to get the flag down and clean it. And when it was hanged, there was blood again. And again they get it down to clean, hang, and blood again and again and again.

• Fairoz, the most famous Lebanese singer, was little sick, the doctor said that she is liable to be stabbed in her throat!

• The Lebanese president went to have his morning shower; he found that the water was red as blood. He run to the window and found that blood is every where, on trees, buildings, mountains, everywhere.

• In the declaration of the official speaker of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hossam Zaki, he comments on the accident and says: there is no use to make it more complicated, he pauses, puts his hand in his pocket; he gets it out at once as he felt it wet. Wet of what? Blood!

Mind is the most prominent characteristic of man. Only man can think not any other creature. And although there are many creatures that are stronger than man, he could rule the earth. The ability to think enabled man to achieve every thing he had done. Always there are good and evil, and also mind controls both of them. Hence, man lived, produced, and controlled the planet.

But what if there is no mind? No ability to think and distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong? The natural result would be the increase of evil, and man would loose his only characteristic that helped him to survive and then control life. He would be exactly like animals that fight to get food, to get their daily living. Year after year, man would die out as dinosaurs and mammoths and many other animals that died out.

This idea came into my mind when I saw the photos of Mohamed Messalam, the Egyptian man who was killed and mangled by hundreds of Lebanese citizens and hanged his body on one of the lighting posts in the noise of joy shouts. He was accused of killing 4 Lebanese citizens. I remember some similar accidents that had happened in different spots in the world like: Sirloin, Rwanda, Iraq, Afghanistan, I remembered many massacres that our history full of, beginning with Mamluke massacre, till Kana, Abo-Gharib jail, the assassination of Al-hariry, the execution of the president Sadam Hussin, etc. and although all these slaughters around the world, it was a big shock from many ways. First it was a shock because the mangled body was a human body, not a body of an animal that had been hunted. It was a man of flesh and blood. How could they do something so much terrible like that? They were so evil that they enjoyed doing this and record it with videos and be pride of that!

Second it was a shock as this terrible accident was made by the Muslim Arab Lebanese citizens, what ever they were Sunnis or Shiites, they are Arab Muslims. Considering the damage that was resulted from this slaughter and how much it affected the idea of the whole world towards the Muslims, it asserted the idea of being the Arab Muslims mere a group of terrorists and depicted the Arab as some barbarian tribes that care only for sex and life pleasures. They also painted our holy prophet, best prayer upon him, as if He were wearing a bomb as a head cover.

Thirdly, it was a shock as the Lebanese officers could prevent this crime easily but they didn’t. The government of the state couldn’t protect an accused man, so how could the government protect their citizens, institutions, and borders from enemies? A Lebanese friend of mine once told me that: years ago, some one went to visit the Lebanese president Elias Sarki in his Palace, and when the president went to meet his visitor; he was surprised to found the visitor was Sharon, the Minister of the Israel defense army. From this time and then, it was proved the disability of the Lebanese government especially when they couldn’t arrest ten murderers. It was asserted by the Minister of Justice that they had the names of the Criminals!

“The accused is considered innocent by law till he is proved to be guilty”: is a fact that every body knows even the young students of law. So, I will not discuss the murder in which he was accused of, as till this moment he is considered innocent by law. He had not been prosecuted yet, he had not admitted killing them, nor had it been proved that he is guilty. Even if he was a real criminal, justice has to take its courses. He ca not be considered as guilty, as there was no final sentence proving being him guilty. And so, the citizens of Cater Maya had killed an innocent man, and also the government had aided them and let them free.

Mangling is forbidden by Islam, even if the mangled bodies were the bodies of enemy. The dead body has its dignity and has to be respected. Our prophet, best prayer upon him, prevented us from mangling and banned it even if it was a dead body of an animal. Crime is every where, in all communities, even in the strictest ones, massacres, rappers, and also adultery. This is the nature of life and the nature of man that has both good and evil inside his soul. But some people think that kindness, wisdom, and honor are limited to them, only them who are kind, wise, and honorable, they are from the ideal republican. We will never blame that on all the Lebanese people, as most of them defamed the accident and felt ashamed.

Arab people always generalize crimes, which mean that if there is an Egyptian murderer; they at once consider all the Egyptians as murderers and defame them.

We don’t protect criminals, but justice must have its courses and considerations, which the fair investigation and giving the accused a chance to defend him are the most important of these considerations. And while giving the sentence; the accused has the right to appeal. The accused can not be considered guilty till the final sentence is decided by the specialized court of law.

About this case, the accused didn’t admit doing this crime, he hadn’t prosecuted yet, and the DNA analysis hadn’t been proved yet. To achieve justice, we must be sure of the last three elements. About the knife that was found at the home of the accused; it proves nothing. I don’t think that there still stupid killers who keep the crime tools in home. It is a very old easy way of rigging to put the crime tools in the home of some one to accuse him of the crime.

What happened to the Egyptian man in Lebanon is the most exacting crime of the recent times. This is the most violent crime in the 21st century. It proves how much the man had deviated from what is right. It shows how the civilized gentleman could turn to be a wolf, and how the friend turns to be an enemy. The constitutions became useless. The Arab man may warmly welcome his Arab friend and hug him and stab him in back at the same time.

This fierce crime proves how much the Lebanon state became so weak with no respected rules after years of civil war and its destruction. It proves that the beautiful rose may be a dangerous snake. And the colorful butterfly may be a bomb. And also the politician may betray his country.

This crime reminds us with the Stone Age when the man chased animals. The crime makes us appear as if we were some rabbles that don’t deserve honor, freedom, or respect. It proved that man is originally a wolf and civilization is a fancy, history is lies, and democracy is something that we don’t deserve.
