On the same way the swindler succeeds to deceive people, screaming and making some tricks, some people succeed to deceive others by “fatwa” convincing them by their own trends and personal opinions.

It is obvious that there are some common denominators between Farag Foda, and Shoukrey Belaid . Both of them , not only they were killed for adopting some views, but they were characterized by strong distinctive eloquently argument, power of logic, and a great ability to debate and discuss. They were both killed for their opinions and Fatwas they made.

May be these were the common features of all the victims of “personal trends and opinions” along history. There no way to be ignorant, all of them were of a high gift and a great ability to argue providing evidences and examples to achieve superiority over the other party of the argument. So they were restricted, imprisoned, or some times assassinated.

Assassination is a desperate reaction to end argument that express the disability to face and prove an opinion that has no adequate evidence for. It also measures the disability of confrontation. Instead of honest discussion and admitting the loss, if there was any, some ask the help of murders to achieve their so-called victory over the other party as a compensation for false victory. They ars just like kids who stop the game after being defeat.

Exactly like what we used to see in drama when a wife faces her husband with some facts she discovered about him which makes him confused and strangles her and never let her until she is dead. It was not his intention from the very beginning to kill her, he was trying to defend himself against (her) accuses. No matter -for him- the psychological justifications, but the real motive of the crime now is his “disability” to justify his attitudes or actions for her.

On the other hand, those people who act killing belongs to the ignorant illiterate  class of society, or some times belong to the working class. The people who killed Farag Foda were working in “the fish market”. I am not criticizing the profession at all, but i want to shed light on the surroundings of the murderers and its role in shaping the psyche and forming the social relationships. These people are not at ease of living, but actually they struggle to make living everyday.

This environment is very suitable to be incited against society and its upper classes. Most of the extremists belong to that class; that can be easily controlled and incited to make use of their needs to manufacture some people whose main job is to kill.

To create a “tool for murder”. And of course there are many extremists of well educated people. For example , we have Ibn Rushd who was accused of being “Infidel” according to the Andalusian scientists. It may also happen with some high ranked learners and scientists. But the same and only source of murder and crime is the illiterate class.

 The most prominent proof was that the killers of Farag Foda were illiterate. And when some of them was asked about the reason why they killed him, he answered : “ he was disbeliever”. Again the criminal was asked : “which book did you read for him and make you feel he was infidel? “. But he answered : “ i did not read his books, i cannot read nor write” . So the criminal simply killed some one for only rumors and false fatwa.

So it became a battle between Enlightenment and ignorance, freedom and oppression, moderation and extremism. Such battle is still cause suffering for the Muslim society, although the other communities have resolved such troubles to devote their efforts for construction and development.

Writers and thinkers are not completely innocent. Their ideas and errors were ancient scourges along history. Some times those extra-educated philosophers have extremist thoughts because of their deep learning, like the thoughts and doctrines of the extremist Sufis.

Of all kinds, the religion extremism is the most dangerous, especially in the light of the wide ignorance in the Muslim community. But Islam has offered solutions for this problem. The principles of Islam calls for “wisdom and good advice” .

Islam did not call for killing who adopt other views. It calls for well discussions and arguments. Islam has put rules for all aspects of life; the way of talking, dealing with young and old people, and also learn us how to deal with our enemies.

Islam has been spread for its gentle way of treatment with others, not of swords or oppression. Islam is the religion of mercy, justice, and charity. It can never call for crimes or killing others even if they were infidels. And there are so many evidences and examples to prove that.
 
But the main problems lie in “the misleading fatwas” made by ignorant to mislead the public. The observer of the fatwas that were launched during the recent ten years will find that there were many of them false, lies, and sometimes even ridiculous. And the most famous of them were the political fatwas that use religion as a cover for personal political interests.

Declaring some people infidel or disbelievers is an appropriate action for ignorant illiterate people. And as long as ignorance controls society, "Atonement" phenomenon will always be the main culture of the country, and swindlers will continue their juggling to hunt victims all the time.
