Many people lose their goal in life; they live, and die without a hope, a target, or an ambition in their life. They became as if they did never live. The most miserable people are those who born just to live as the life law requires. They live according to the herb law. Kamal Al-Shenawy, an Arab poet, says: “I came from I don’t know where but I came, I saw some way so I go”. Such people go on life as if they were a paper thrown into the river moved by the current without any will.
Every thing in life is created for a particular reason; man, nature phenomena, climate, sun, nature, and the life cycle. Every thing has a particular target and works according to an accurate system beginning with the sunrise to the sunset. It is mentioned in the holy Quran: “it is not permitted to the sun to catch up the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to law)”.
God put the law of life and made every thing accountable for a particular function. Animals, birds, and even the micro-organisms all have its function in life. God did not create the world for people just to live and die and it’s over. But actually there is a task for the human beings to be assigned. There is a goal that should be sought. There must be a task and hard work to reconstruct the earth.
If the goal is removed from life, it would turn to be large graves where people live like the dead. If the hope is removed from life, it would be just useless.
The great nations are those people are full with hope, desire to live, and the true determination to achieve progress and the social welfare. The worst nations are those who depend on other people and wait for aids and donations from other people in the world.
If you want to destroy a nation and cause it to fail and return back 300 years, remove the hope of the future from its people. Some nations have succeeded and achieved great civilization during the last few years. They turned their collapsed economy into a great giant prosperity, and weren’t by chance, but achieved by planning, hard work, and determination to succeed.
We should admit that some times the chance plays a role in someone’s life and may push him to the top and may destroy him. But “chance” can’t be a rule. And the most logical rules are planning, organization, and hard work; they are the main elements that help to achieve goals.
God has created some things that are imposed upon man and some other things in which man has the freedom to decide about. But some people think that they can’t do any thing by their own free will. They think that every thing is imposed upon man by fate and man can’t do any thing but to surrender to his fate, and there is no way to change since it is the fate.
Many people do not give themselves the chance to choose, they just surrender to what they call “fate”. They just live without any will. If the man became aware of what he can do with this most creative feature, his will, he would regret so much for not making a good use of it.
By his own will, man can change his fate. God orders us to work hard, and working can change people’s life. It gives him knowledge, honor and strength instead of ignorance, shame and weakness.
Fate is fate of course, but it is not a final judgment. But it is determined and can be changed if man works to change it. Fate is not written in the sense that all results are known, but God knows what man is going to do and if he going to surrender or to work and change his life into better. Fate is determined only according to what is going to happen not before it.
Some times, some young people ask me how to achieve dreams, and how they can change their life into better. And I always tell them that only the man who determines to succeed is the one who can really succeed. It is not a literary advice, but it is a fact.
Who sets his goals and seeks to achieve them, God help him. There is a Divine promise to support hard-working creative and ambitious people who seek to change their life into better. Allah say in the Holy Quran: “and for those who fear Allah, he (ever) prepares a way out, and He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine”.
Change is available in life, but as it is mentioned in Quran: “Allah does not change a people’s lot unless they change what is in their hearts”. You will gain nothing as long as you set and rest. It needs to work to achieve your gains. No gains without pain.
Change doesn’t need only the hard working, but it also needs prayers. Allah is Al-Wahab, who is able to give every thing without any thing in return, He is able to change every thing by just simple order from Him. Prayers are so simple but necessary. In the every day life, if someone asked some one for some thing, he may accept or not. But what about the great Creator of all! Prayers are important to get what you wish. If you asked some thing from a friend, he may give it to you and may not. But when asking Allah in prayers for some thing, He promised to give you what you wish, Allah say in the Holy Quran: “when my servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them) : I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: let them also, with a will, listen to my call, and believe in me: that they may walk in the right way”.
Hard work and prayer are the code of success; by them we can change life, get power, and wealth. And also we can change the after-life to enjoy heaven that is the place of believers and good people.
